2012 Expo a Two-Day Show
The Southwest Foodservice Expo will be back in Dallas in June 2012 for an exciting two-day show.
2012 is a landmark year for the Southwest Foodservice Expo which will celebrate 75 years of advancing and promoting the foodservice industry at a dynamic, action packed show. In addition to celebrating its 75th anniversary, Expo, which is produced by the Texas Restaurant Association, is returning to Dallas for the second year of a three year run and is modifying its usual three days to a two day schedule.

“We are very excited about celebrating the Texas Restaurant Association and Expo 75th Anniversary in 2012,” said Richie Jackson, TRA CEO. “The association’s history and growth reflects the growth and tremendous changes that our industry has experienced over the past 75 years. Expo has always been a key part of our mission to be a valuable resource to the industry. The growth of the show over the years is testament to its value to today’s industry.”
Show management decided to make the 2012 show a two-day format in response to requests from exhibitors and attendees alike. “For the past few years, our post-event surveys have shown an increasing interest in making Expo a two day show to make better use of exhibitors and attendees valuable time,” said Mel Forehand, TRA vice president expositions and Expo show manager. “Time is extremely valuable to people in this industry and we believe that by making an Expo a two day show, happening on the relatively slower days of Sunday and Monday, will enable more foodservice professionals and companies selling products and services to the industry to be involved and take advantage of all Expo has to offer.”
